About

Jo-Anne Lauzer, M.Ed.

I have over 25 years of experience in providing writing and consulting services to individuals, organizations and small businesses. As a big picture thinker who has an eye for managing complex details and working collaboratively, I enjoy being on the ground floor of innovative and creative writing projects that matter and strive to make a difference.

I have a passion for food, community, storytelling, sustainability and reducing waste and enjoy writing about many different topics. As a content writer I excel at collaborating on articles, profiles (people and companies), newsletters and blogs.

As a food writer, I especially love cookbooks and every step involved in creating them. I have successfully managed and collaborated on cookbook projects and proposals, written cookbook reviews as well tested and edited recipes for a variety of platforms. As a judge for the Taste Canada Awards I have also reviewed some of Canada’s best cookbooks while also testing several recipes from each book.

As a seasoned secondhand shopper, I published a blog called SecondhandSavvy.ca. This is where I like to write about many different aspects of the secondhand culture. For over ten years I have also been a regular contributor to Canadian Antiques & Vintage Magazine as a freelance writer.

My career path has not been a straight line, but all roads have led me here. And, this is exactly where I want to be. If you need help with a writing project, big or small, lets chat.
